Great news!  We received grant funding for one water source to be installed by the Chicago Park District this year, among other things.

Our list of fundraising goals are to include one or two outdoor water bottle fillable stations/water fountains in The Prairie Park.

The PAC will hold a fundraiser and also collect donations through our SwipeSimple online virtual platform through Fifth Third Bank (which is safe and no credit card information is ever stored) to raise funds for the purchase of the water fountain(s). 

It would add great value to the park providing everyone with healthy filtered drinking water when hosting PAC-related events and during sports, health, entertainment & exercise activities taking place at the park. It is also environmentally friendly reducing plastic bottle waste so people are encouraged to bring their own water bottles.  

As always, we will keep you updated on the progress we make on achieving this goal. Our goal is to eventually add two water fountains at The Prairie Park, but one will suffice for the time being until a water source is put in place, and another water source we have identified is replaced due to lead pipes. 

Baby steps have gotten us this far. We have been very careful and transparent with funds raised and appreciate very much the generosity of our community and supporters.

A nonprofit is only as strong as the community that holds it up. Together, we can do more than we can do alone. Let's bring our abilities and passions together to affect real change in our neighborhood.
