On Thursday, August 27, the 19th Ward Youth & Community Foundation will host Jazz in the Park, a free outdoor concert at The Prairie Park (11625 S. Oakley Ave.) beginning at 7 p.m. Back by popular demand, Gerald Holden and the NuSource Jazz Band will provide an evening of outstanding live jazz. Gather with friends and neighbors to enjoy a relaxing summer night in the park. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, along with bug spray, for a comfortable evening.

THE PRAIRIE PARK ADVISORY COUNCIL MISSION
- To advise and work collaboratively with our community and the Chicago Park District on park improvements, safety, and enjoyment of our beautiful park.
- To seek alternative funding sources for park enhancements.
- To promote community awareness and increased utilization of The Prairie Park.
- Sponsor various initiatives, such as park clean-ups, dog waste bag stations, recreational activities, and celebrations, to foster community spirit and engagement.
